Making a Difference
The foundation is committed to science, research, and public health—with a particular focus on disease and epidemic prevention. It builds bridges between urban planning, architecture, medical technology, and health economics and promotes interdisciplinary exchange. One focus is on improving medical care in developing and emerging countries through scholarships, research contracts, and programs such as the international conference "Health Care of the Future" and the "Health & the City" summer school. It also awards prizes for outstanding student and academic work.
