About
For over four decades, we have been active in the field of planning and designing healthcare facilities – both in our role as university lecturers and as entrepreneurs in an international context. This long-standing, transdisciplinary activity has enabled us to gain differentiated insights into the health care situations of a wide variety of societies worldwide – especially in peripheral regions that are threatened by structural exclusion due to socio-economic marginalisation and infrastructural deficits.
Against this backdrop and driven by the desire to make a substantial contribution to improving global health equity, we established our foundation in 2007. Since then, it has served as a vehicle for the targeted mobilisation and translation of our academic know-how and planning expertise into sustainable, contextually appropriate solutions. The focus is on the systemic expansion of access to medical infrastructure, the promotion of public health and public health care, and the development of resilience-oriented care architectures.
In view of disruptive technological innovation dynamics and changing demographic conditions, we are increasingly focusing on modular building concepts. These enable accelerated implementation, increased adaptability and integrative spatial design, taking into account ecological, social and economic sustainability criteria.
